Redesigning CAMHS and Emotional Wellbeing Services
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and emotional wellbeing services are delivered across Coventry and Warwickshire by a range of providers. These are commissioned by our three local clinical commissioning groups and two local authorities.
These partners are working together to improve how mental health and emotional wellbeing services are provided for children and young adults.
From speaking to children and families, both present and past, we are aware that there are strong examples of good practice to build on. However, current services can sometimes appear to be fragmented, difficult to access and confusing for people to use.
Together we have an opportunity to change community mental health services for children and young people. It is widely recognised that it is not within the gift of one agency, or group of individuals, to improve emotional wellbeing and community mental health. Therefore over the coming months we want to work with people to jointly develop a new way of delivering mental health and emotional wellbeing services in Coventry and Warwickshire. People we want to involve include; young people, parents and carers, GP’s, schools and people working in mental health.
We have a pledge which shows our commitment to listening to your views and working with you to improve outcomes for children and young people.
